The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) is a statutory body responsible for combating and reducing major crime and corruption in the public sector in Queensland. As a Legal Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Crime and Corruption Act 2001 and other relevant legislation.
- Develop and maintain systems to monitor and report on compliance, including tracking and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance and support on compliance matters, including training and awareness programs.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate compliance risks.
- Provide advice and support on regulatory matters, including responding to inquiries and requests from external stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of the Crime and Corruption Act 2001 and other relevant legislation.
- Experience in implementing policies and procedures, and establishing systems to monitor compliance.
- Para-legal work experience, including knowledge of court and tribunal processes.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
