About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Equifax Workforce Solutions team. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide specialized legal advice on data privacy, competition, and consumer law.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of our innovative solutions. You will work closely with our Executive General Manager and General Counsel to advise on a wide range of commercial contracts, including data commercialization agreements, confidentiality agreements, and IT agreements.

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will also coordinate with our Data Privacy and Workforce Solutions legal and compliance teams to seek to capitalize on and adapt existing knowledge, vision, and proven go-to-market strategies for the local market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive, efficient, and high-quality legal advice and guidance on product structuring, commercial contracts, and related regulatory, compliance, and operational issues.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to the development of the legal team.
  • Work closely with the Executive General Manager and General Counsel to advise on commercial contracts and regulatory issues.
  • Coordinate with the Data Privacy and Workforce Solutions legal and compliance teams to seek to capitalize on and adapt existing knowledge, vision, and proven go-to-market strategies for the local market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a commercial lawyer in the technology industry, with a focus on data and financial services.
  • Prior in-house experience with a major corporation or reputable law firm experience.
  • Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, preferably technology-related.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data privacy, competition, and consumer law, preferably consumer credit law.
  • Business-focused individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, great interpersonal skills, and the ability to work directly with senior management.
