About the Role

As a key member of the Indue team, the General Counsel will provide expert legal advice and support to drive business growth and mitigate risk. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this role is responsible for overseeing the company's legal affairs, including contract negotiation, litigation management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level legal advice on commercial and operational issues
  • Oversee contract negotiation and review
  • Manage litigation and disputes

About You

We're looking for a seasoned lawyer with a strong background in risk management and commercial law. You'll have a degree in Law, an unrestricted practicing certificate, and at least 10 years of experience in a similar role. You'll also have significant experience in the banking and finance industry, with a deep understanding of ASIC, APRA, and AUSTRAC regulations.
