Youth Justice Case Manager Alternative

About This Role:
- We have fixed term positions available based in Reservoir and Broadmeadows.
- You will contribute to community safety and rehabilitation of young people in the Justice System.
The Youth Justice Team provides community-based supervision and case management services for young people appearing before or sentenced by various courts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support young people subject to Youth Justice Court orders.
- Prepare reports, develop Client Service Plans, and attend court for client matters.
- Provide assessments, develop case plans/reports, and advocate for support services.
About You:
- You are passionate about contributing to the rehabilitation of young people in the justice system.
- You understand the youth justice system and associated policies and guidelines.
- You have knowledge of case management principles and ability to utilise assessments and interventions relevant to the young person's background and needs.
- You demonstrate empathy and cultural awareness, including appreciation of different cultures.
- You are confident in managing stakeholders and negotiating solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Social Work or Diploma in Community Services Work is highly desirable.
- Other tertiary qualifications at Diploma level or above will be considered if they include units of study in case management/casework practice and supervised practical work placements.
Additional Requirements:
- A full driver's licence is required due to emergency response needs.
- A current employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) card is required.
