Climate Change & Net-Zero Strategy Consultant Job Description

About the Role
  • We are seeking a Climate Change & Net-Zero Strategy Consultant to support the fast-growing demand for climate change solutions in the APAC region.
  • You will be directly involved in delivering client projects for large national and multinational companies across various industry sectors.
  • As a consultant, you will take ownership of key tasks and be responsible for managing smaller projects.
Key Responsibilities
  1. You will work on client project teams, reporting to project managers and directors.
  2. You will understand and interpret client needs, clearly communicating client goals and overall business objectives to internal and external stakeholders.
  3. You will gather data using various techniques, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, and data requests.
  4. You will utilize data analysis tools, such as Excel and GIS, to create tailored reports and model scenarios.
  5. You will support the development of presentations and reports for clients that have a clear narrative and help inform decisions.
  6. You will assist in generating new business through drafting and developing proposals with oversight from senior team members.
  7. You will grow professional and industry contacts by representing the company in virtual and out-of-office environments, such as events, conferences, and panels.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • You should have an understanding of core concepts in climate science.
  • You should have passion and interest in sustainability and sustainable business.
  • You should demonstrate an understanding of some aspects of climate change strategy, including GHG accounting and corporate carbon footprints.
  • You should possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to deliver client-ready presentations.
  • You should be able to distill quantitative and qualitative data and communicate it succinctly to clients.
