Job Title: Assistant Director of Out-of-School Hours Care

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that prioritizes the growth and development of children and educators.

  • This includes staying abreast of the latest ideas, best practices, and community requirements in order to create engaging experiences that meet or exceed quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and coordinate programs that align with the My Time, Our Place Framework and meet or exceed national quality standards.
  • Ensure all aspects of the service meet regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment.
  • Supervise and support children during activities, meals, and rest periods.
  • Uphold OSHC standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Promote a culture of safety, respect, and inclusivity.
  • Champion child protection protocols and maintain confidentiality standards.
Requirements:
  • A relevant ACEQA-approved qualification and demonstrated industry experience in a comparable role are highly desirable.
  • Qualifications include a Diploma, Cert III or IV in Youth Work, Social Work, Allied Health, Health, Sport and Recreation, Creative Arts, Psychology, Behavioural & Social Sciences; Disability, Community Services; and Leisure and Health - or completed two years of a four-year Teaching degree.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current RRHAN-EC Fundamentals & Masterclass Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
