Gillen Primary School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Education Leader to join our team as an Assistant Principal. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving student and school improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality instructional leadership to develop educator proficiency in curriculum delivery and best practice in literacy and numeracy acquisition.
  • Develop and implement a multi-tiered approach to literacy based on the Simple View of Reading.
  • Lead teams and foster a collaborative culture within the school.
  • Use data to inform student and school improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement professional development programs to enhance educator skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Principal or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of current best practice in education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
