Job Description

The Industrial Automation Solutions Expert will lead the development of detailed, customised proposals for automation solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure proposals meet defined margin and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of industrial automation, including assessments, design, deployment, and management. They will be able to design solutions aligned with client specifications and industry best practices, develop accurate cost estimates considering materials, labour, and project-related expenses, and ensure task completion.

The successful candidate will also have strong technical knowledge of automation technologies (PLCs, DCS, drives), understanding of cost structures, pricing strategies, and margin analysis, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of detailed, customised proposals for automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Solution Consultants, Engineering, Field Services, Operations, Commercial & Negotiation (C&N), Finance, and Credit Management teams.
  • Ensure proposals meet defined margin and compliance requirements.
  • Deliver accurate, professional proposals within expected timeframes.
  • Stay updated on trends in industrial automation.
The Essentials - You Will Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in proposal/project engineering within industrial automation.
  • Technical knowledge of automation technologies (PLCs, DCS, drives).
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
  • Command on contract terms & conditions.
  • Collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
