We are seeking a highly skilled Security Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day security operations at our hospital precinct. This key role involves ensuring incident response and standards are delivered in accordance with services specifications and approved safe work instructions.

This is a permanent position based at the Sunshine Coast Hospital, working on a rotating roster of 12-hour day or night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review incidents, identify risk, educate and communicate relevant safety awareness information, and support a secure environment.
  • Ensure sufficient, properly trained, and qualified Security resources are in place in vulnerable areas.
  • Maintain safety and legal obligations in accordance with services specifications and relevant legislation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
  • Knowledge of security management systems, CCTV, and building automation systems within a control room setting.
  • Current Queensland Security Licence.
  • Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Hold a current Blue card.
  • Strong safety awareness, ability to work flexibly, and reliable.
  • Consistency, effective communication skills (both written and verbal), and ability to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Professional, responsive, and committed to ensuring the success and continuous improvement of the Security Service.
