Job Description

This role is centered around working within a quality control laboratory, supporting operations including assay performance, equipment maintenance, stock management, and documentation according to GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with laboratory duties, including the performance of assays and preparation of reagents.
  • Maintain housekeeping of the laboratory, including stock take, ordering of materials and reagents, and monitoring usage of in-house standards and controls.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained, calibrated, and troubleshoot malfunctions as needed.
  • Complete, sign off, and archive records in accordance with GMP procedures, including LIMS entries and control records.
  • Manage stock inventory to meet QC testing requirements.
  • Coordinate distribution of samples for testing within QC and arrange for external testing where required.
  • Support documentation management, including preparation, review, and updates of PDLs, forms, and test procedures through approved systems.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement within QC using Lean Six Sigma principles.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Previous experience as a lab technician, with a background in science and chemistry preferred.
  • GMP knowledge/experience (highly regarded).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, organisational, and communication skills.
