Senior Systems Administrator Position

The role of the Senior Systems Administrator is pivotal in coordinating and delivering operational IT infrastructure maintenance and support to an organization. This position demands a senior technical expert who can provide timely feedback to stakeholders regarding the status of problems and service requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular feedback to stakeholders about the status of problems and service requests to ensure that agreed service levels and standards are met.

  • Undertake change management activities related to infrastructure provisioning, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.

  • Analyze, advise, recommend, and plan maintenance upgrades or enhancements for the organization's IT infrastructure, driving continuous improvement.

  • Research problems and resolve issues efficiently to guarantee reliable and available services.

  • Offer third-level support and maintenance for the organization's IT infrastructure, addressing complex technical queries.

  • Demonstrate understanding of business drivers and contribute to stakeholder relationships by assisting with performance analysis and making recommendations for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines to ensure continuous improvement of IT operations.

  • Participate in the development, design, implementation, and evaluation of whole-of-organization IT-related initiatives, fostering innovation and growth.

  • Provide timely and focused network, problem, and service management for IT services and facilities, prioritizing customer satisfaction.

  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians in the effective use and support of technologies, promoting knowledge sharing and expertise development.
