Project Manager Opportunity

We have a challenging opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of the program, you will be responsible for delivering complex defence shipbuilding projects with significant interdependencies and evolving requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a project team, providing clear direction and prioritization while managing technical challenges and interdependencies.
  • Navigate uncertainty and change while maintaining program objectives and priorities, balancing trade-offs between quality, time, and cost.
  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, including the project team, customers, industry partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure products and services delivered as part of the project meet safety standards.
  • Foster a proactive risk management culture, identifying and mitigating potential risks while communicating risk positions and business impacts to stakeholders.
About You
  • 5+ years of hands-on project delivery experience in complex production builds and/or engineering environments.
  • Experience in uncertainty and change management, including implementing engineering changes into baseline scope.
  • Interdependencies management, including concurrent deliverables across engineering, supply chain, and production.
  • Technical complexity management, including complex work scope across multiple engineering and production disciplines and systems.
  • Program and schedule management, including $100M+ programs and long-term schedules.
  • Industry experience in defence, civil infrastructure, or energy sectors is highly regarded.
  • Risk identification and mitigation experience.
  • Proven ability to manage and solve project issues across multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups.
  • Project Management Qualification or Chartership is desirable but not essential.
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
