Dental Assistant Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dental team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in various dental procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing all aspects of chairside dental assistance to our dentists, including preparing patients for treatment, maintaining accurate records, and handling instruments with precision.
  • Delivering outstanding dental care and excellent customer service, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of infection control and instrument reprocessing and sterilisation procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Actively advising patients on their care, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, patients, and medical staff, fostering a positive and respectful team environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to telephone calls and enquiries, resolving issues and providing accurate information as needed.
  • Efficiently booking appointments and managing administrative tasks, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between teams.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous chairside dental experience, preferably in a similar role or related field, demonstrating your ability to adapt and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, ensuring adequate staffing levels and meeting business needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to effectively engage with patients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • A strong work ethic, unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality patient care, and an enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.
  • A Cert III in Dental Assisting and/or three or more years' dental assisting experience, showcasing your expertise and commitment to the profession.
