We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join our team at Darebin City Council. As a key member of our Maternal and Child Health Service, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, family-focused service that meets the needs of our diverse community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Maternal Child Health program that meets the needs of our community, in line with Department of Health guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other health professionals and community services to provide a comprehensive service to families.
- Deliver group work programs, including new parent groups and parent information sessions, to support the health and wellbeing of families.
- Support and participate in the student placement program within the Maternal and Child Health Service.
Requirements:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Division 1 Registered nurse and midwife.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Child Family and Community Health - Maternal Child Health Nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- A willingness to continue education and enhance your skill and knowledge base within Maternal and Child Health.
- CPR and First Aid Level 1 certification, including the ability to give adult CPR kneeling on the floor.
- A current Victorian driver's licence and Working with Children's Card.
