Commercial Analyst Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst to support our client's commercial projects. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering commercial positive outcomes across the business via strategic, tailored, and customer-focused pricing and commercial solutions.

About the Role

You will work closely with the commercial pricing manager to create new and innovative commercial offerings utilizing pricing and as a growth lever. This will involve supporting the business shift from operational to strategic pricing mindset, assisting with key strategic pricing initiatives, and providing ad-hoc analysis to support commercial pricing manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with key strategic pricing initiatives
  • Support commercial pricing manager in setting, implementing, and measuring the effectiveness of pricing strategies
  • Support the execution of strategic pricing initiatives, including annual price increase
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support commercial pricing manager
  • Support updating of local pricing systems

Requirements

  • University degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, marketing, or MBA
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with pricing
  • Problem-solving skills with a bias towards solution development
  • Strong cross-functional experience working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience

  • Strong business acumen and keen eye on customer focus both internally and externally
  • Experience in conducting gross-to-net analysis, creating complex analytical models, and preparing business cases
  • Ability to understand and communicate financial analyses
  • Solid strategic and analytical skills using large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of the medical industry preferred

This is a temporary role until March 2023 with the view to extension. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset and be able to work in a hybrid role with flexibility to work some days from home. The location is North Ryde with onsite parking and close to public transport.
