Senior Commercial Analyst

Richard Lloyd Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Analyst to join one of Australia's leading deliverers of critical infrastructure.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic business at the forefront of Australia's energy transition. As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you will be responsible for leading and building investment case models for decision-making, supporting the business in pricing decisions, and developing insightful reporting and contributing to forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the finance lead on allocated investment cases, supporting the business in pricing decisions, developing insightful reporting, and contributing to forecasting processes.
  • Design a driver-based model to translate business initiatives and commercial performance into financial objectives.
  • Provide financial insights through performance dashboards for all key financial and non-financial measures.
  • Develop an understanding of key business financial reporting, including P&L and cash flow.
  • Support the monthly closing, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting process.
  • Understand and apply Financial Models that produce the cash flow data for Investment, Strategy, Business Planning, and capital raising process.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have significant analytical and modelling skills, particularly around acquisitions and cash flow. A strong foundational understanding of accounting principles, especially around P&L analysis, cash flow, and budgeting, forecasting, is also essential. Candidates with experience in Infrastructure, Property, or similar capital-intensive industries will be highly regarded.
