Job Description:
The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in delivering best practice mining engineering services and support to our operations. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing short to medium term mining strategies and mine plans, as well as managing up to 5 Truck fleets.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement short to medium term mining strategies and mine plans
- Manage up to 5 Truck fleets
- Leverage experience of haulage and dump designs to optimise operational efficiency
- Utilise mine scheduling software to ensure continuous improvement and increased operational efficiency
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Tertiary qualified Mining Engineer with at least 3 years post graduate experience gained in an open cut environment
- Short to medium term design, planning and/or scheduling within an open cut operation
- Truck & Shovel experience
- Ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes
- Track record in driving continuous improvement
- Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
