Event Manager Role SummaryThis position requires a dynamic and innovative Event Manager to lead a team of Sales Advisors (product demonstrators) in delivering successful events/demonstrations. As an Event Manager, you will foster a fair and congenial employment environment that encourages positive employee relations and supports retention.The Event Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating warehouse activities, promoting vendor products, ensuring member services are maintained at a high level, and overseeing the recruitment and hiring process.Key responsibilities include:- Managing and leading the daily activities of Sales Advisors to prepare products and interact with customers
- Training, coaching, mentoring, and guiding employees to ensure successful execution of events/demonstrations
- Instructing and providing oversight to Events/Product Demonstrations and properly executing all events with established quality, safety, and sanitation practices of warehouse operations
- Identifying and participating in the recruitment and hiring process
- Utilizing progressive coaching and counselling concepts according to established policies and procedures, to provide continuous feedback on performance, increase employee retention, and improve employee relations
- Interacting with store management and associates to address issues and review results
- Setting and maintaining Food Safety and Sanitation Standards, and ensuring workplace safety for all associates
- Creating, establishing, and maintaining solid upper management relationships with the management and customers throughout buying, marketing, and store operations
- Conducting accident investigation as per company guidelines and documenting findings
- Participating in Club Store grand openings and travel as requestedRequirements- Bachelor's Degree in business management or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory position
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in previous roles
- Ability to recruit, coach, counsel employees, and take correction measures as needed
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulatory standards
- Ability to work under pressure and ability to multi-task during the event
- Inventory control, Labor Management experience is a plus
- Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
- Ability to build rapport and credibility with broad base of stakeholders
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Successful Completion of food safety supervisor certificate is a plus.
