Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Professional to join our team in Werribee. This is a full-time position that involves supporting a Lawyer with Workers Compensation matters.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to clients in a professional manner, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and mentoring legal support staff.

This role requires the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment, with excellent written and drafting skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing great care and support to clients in a professional manner
  • Building strong relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders
  • Mentoring and training legal support staff
  • Supporting the team with general file management and administration
  • Coordinating appointments for lawyers, medico-legal appointments for clients, conferences and mediations
  • Communicating with clients, insurers and other professionals both in writing and verbally
  • Preparing legal correspondence and compiling court documents
  • Preparing matters for conferences and hearings

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with Workers Compensation matters
  • Natural passion for helping people and high level of empathy
  • Exceptional experience in communication and customer service
  • Excellent written and drafting skills
  • Recognize the importance of attention to detail and time management
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn
  • Proactive approach and initiative
  • Available to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday
