Physiotherapy Opportunities in Palliative Care

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate physiotherapist to provide high-quality patient-centred care in a community-based palliative care setting.

 

About the Role:

This role is part of our multi-disciplinary team, working closely with doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals to deliver holistic care to patients and their families.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality, responsive, person-centred physiotherapy services to patients, their families, and carers using a holistic approach
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide seamless care delivery
  • Develop and implement individualised physiotherapy plans addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients and their families
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure effective care delivery
  • Participate in policy development and implementation to maintain high-quality patient care
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain registration and expertise as a physiotherapist

 

Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience relevant to community palliative care context (desired)
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem-solve
  • Compassionate, flexible, and positive approach to effective patient care and management
  • Ability to foster friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
  • Unrestricted driver's licence
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
