We strive to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where everyone can achieve their highest potential. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential assistance to individuals with disabilities, aiming to improve their independence and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal goals and fostering independence.
  • Assisting with household tasks and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Monitoring health and well-being, including administering medications and following healthcare plans.
  • Facilitating social activities and community participation to promote inclusion and engagement.
  • Documenting progress and communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities to ensure they receive appropriate support and resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (highly desirable)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • Recent Police Check
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module Certificate
  • Drivers License and Registered Vehicle
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • Understanding of person-centered care principles
  • Ability to follow care plans and support individual needs
  • Experience in disability support, mental health or other related fields (essential).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Disability Support or Mental Health Worker: 1 year (preferred)
  • First Aid Certification (desired)
  • Working with Children Check (optional)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (optional)
  • National Police Certificate (desired)
  • Driver Licence (optional)
