About the Role

This position involves working with LV switchgear, including ACBs, MCCs, and protection testing. As a technician in this field, you will be responsible for scoping, planning, executing, and testing LV switchgear works across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scoping and executing LV ACB upgrades and retrofits
  • Testing, commissioning, and maintaining LV switchboards, MCCs, and ACBs
  • Performing CB timing tests, primary injection, and secondary injection protection testing
  • Modifying and upgrading existing LV systems to meet current standards
  • Preparing technical documentation and reports
  • Supporting project delivery teams across multiple sites

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence
  • Proven experience in LV switchgear, ACBs, MCCs, and protection testing
  • Familiarity with Omicron test equipment (CMC series, Cibano, CPC100, CTA)
  • Strong understanding of protection principles and LV systems
  • Excellent fault-finding, analytical, and documentation skills
  • High regard for safety, quality, and professional communication
  • Willingness to travel for site work as required
