
Senior Government Liaison Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Government Liaison Specialist to join our team on a 6-month contract.
As a key member of our team, you will coordinate government correspondence, submissions, and briefings while working closely with internal stakeholders and ministerial offices.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and manage government and parliamentary correspondence, Cabinet documentation, and cross-government requests.
- Draft high-quality briefings, reports, and submissions with strong attention to tone, accuracy, and alignment with government processes.
- Provide advice and support to internal teams on government workflows and ensure timely tracking and reporting of requests.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and stakeholder experience.
- Collaborate across teams and provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff as required.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A strong working knowledge of Parliament and Cabinet processes.
- Proven experience drafting and coordinating government briefings, reports, and correspondence.
- Excellent business writing skills and the ability to accurately capture and structure key discussion points.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with government correspondence systems.
- Previous experience within government, with a proactive, organised, and detail-focused approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a motivated, team-oriented attitude.
