The successful candidate will have experience in managing people, teams, and subcontractor networks, as well as strong commercial and operational decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage labour planning, wage control, and resource allocation to meet operational targets.
  2. Ensure site-level P&L performance is aligned to budget and achieve cost-effective service delivery.
  3. Comply with Chain of Responsibility, NHVL, and all site-based safety policies through accurate reporting, audits, and risk management.
  4. Develop and implement systems, processes, and policies that enhance operational efficiency and service outcomes.
  5. Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet contractual KPIs and maintain strong customer relationships.

Requirements:

">
  • Experience in transport management, ideally with exposure to industrial/unionised sites.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage medium to large teams (30+) and subcontractor networks.
  • Strong understanding of P&L responsibility, cost control, and commercial decision-making.
  • Strong financial acumen, with a history of managing budgets, controlling wages, and driving profitable operations.
  • Process driven, analytical, and methodical.
