Job Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee daily precast concrete production to meet targets, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Lead safety initiatives through regular audits and toolbox talks, promoting a culture of safety and risk management.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to resolve defects and implement preventative measures, improving overall product quality.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire production staff to foster a respectful and high-performance work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
  • Manage materials and inventory to ensure smooth operations, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification or engineering background, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Proven experience in precast concrete or similar manufacturing environments, with a track record of achieving results and driving improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management practices, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and production schedules.
  • Process improvement and lean manufacturing exposure, with a focus on continuous learning and development.
  • Effective communicator with leadership and conflict resolution skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with compliance registers, tagging systems, and incident documentation, with a focus on maintaining accurate records and reporting.
  • Forklift or overhead crane license (desirable), with a commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
