
Manufacturing Manager

We are looking for a proactive and future-focused Manufacturing Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations and lead a team of 40 production staff. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of our products. This role is integral to our mission of delivering superior products and outstanding customer service.
What You'll Be Doing
Manage the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, including production scheduling, inventory control, and quality assurance.
Oversee, alongside the Operations Manager, the recruitment, training, and development of the production team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Implement and maintain Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and productivity.
Liaise with cross-functional teams, such as procurement and engineering, to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process.
Analyze production data and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A focus on hands-on leadership and support of 2 Second Lean continuous improvement principles.
Proficiency in IT and ERP systems to drive operational improvements.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
