Energy Control Systems Application Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Engineer to provide supporting services for system design, implementation, and commissioning of energy control solutions. This role will involve working with customers throughout Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, providing pre-sales support, customer liaison, and technical assistance.

The successful candidate will work primarily with microgrid, generator control, and protection for bespoke land and marine applications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Resolving technical issues for DEIF products
  • Developing bespoke customer applications
  • Creating high-level single line diagrams
  • Supporting customer commissioning in the field and remotely
  • Maintaining and updating product knowledge of all DEIF products
Requirements
  • University degree in electrical engineering or 2-3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of PLC or Microprocessor based controls, software, and logic
  • Understanding of microgrids, power generation control, and protection of power distribution systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Experience in fault finding and servicing genset controllers is an advantage
  • Fluency in English
  • Australian driver's license and right to work in Australia
