Renewable Energy Engineer

This internship provides a unique opportunity to be part of an emerging industry in Australia, focusing on the design and implementation of solar and wind energy systems.

You will work with industry-grade software such as HelioScope, Aurora Solar, PVSell, and AutoCAD to develop in-house competencies and prepare solar designs and quotations. The role involves reviewing quotations and tender sales opportunities, collaborating with suppliers and customers, and conducting technical due diligence of proposed and existing solar and wind energy systems.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your electrical and electronics engineering theoretical knowledge in real-time through hands-on experience with solar energy systems design and proposal generation. You will also gain understanding of Australian Standards and Design Codes and have the opportunity to train as a CEC certified engineer.

About the Role:

  • Prepare solar designs and quotations using software such as Aurora Solar and PVSell
  • Develop in-house competencies to estimate commercial battery storage
  • Review quotations and tender sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with suppliers, installers, and customers along with senior project engineers
  • Conduct technical due diligence of proposed and existing solar and wind energy systems
