About the RoleWe are seeking an organized and enthusiastic Meeting and Events Executive to join our small hotel team in Melbourne, located along the banks of the Yarra River at Southbank.
This role is a standalone position reporting directly to the hotel General Manager, with a dotted line into the Portfolio DOSM and DOS. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Meeting and Events department.
Key Responsibilities- Handle all administrative work to ensure the smooth running of the Meetings & Events department.
- Assist with sales enquiries for the department, ensuring maximum revenue opportunities and profitability.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, event orders, and other correspondence related to the coordination and execution of successful events.
- Provide excellent customer service and liaison with clients before, during, and after events.
We are looking for an administrative professional with a conferencing background, preferably within hotels or a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and be committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
The successful candidate will be a natural people person with exceptional communication and guest service skills, and will have full Australian work rights.
