Job Opportunity: Capital Project Engineer

Alcoa is seeking a skilled professional to join our WA Mining Capital Projects Team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to bring technical expertise and shape the future of sustainability with innovative solutions and low-carbon technologies.

The successful candidate will provide technical direction and leadership to ensure mining capital projects are well-planned from the start. They will lead the development of practical and effective solutions for various project scenarios, oversee project planning and approvals, manage the full delivery and closure of all approved projects, and monitor and forecast the capital plan.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical direction and leadership to ensure mining capital projects are well-planned
  • Leading the development of practical and effective solutions for project scenarios
  • Overseeing project planning and approvals
  • Managing the full delivery and closure of approved projects
  • Monitoring and forecasting the capital plan

The ideal candidate will have an Engineering degree qualification, preferably in mechanical, electrical or Structural/Civil, and post-graduate business or project management studies would be favourable. Experience working on both mechanical and electrical projects is also essential.
