Senior Health & Safety Specialist – Resources ProjectWagerup & Pinjarra | Site & Office Based | Flexible Work Arrangements

We're seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Specialist to join a major resources project in WA. This is a key role supporting multiple operating sites, with the opportunity to combine site-based work and office flexibility, including some work from home once established in the project.

About the Role

In this role, you'll provide specialist HSE leadership and support across the project, ensuring compliance with health and safety systems, legislation, and site standards. You'll work closely with project teams, contractors, and site leadership to promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement in safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and safety leadership across project teams and contractors
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Lead risk management activities including hazard identification and risk reviews
  • Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and portfolio-wide safety training
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety performance reporting
  • Ensure emergency preparedness and coordinate drills across sites
  • Engage with stakeholders to drive safe behaviours and positive safety outcomes
About You
  • 8+ years' experience in health & safety roles within mining, resources, or construction
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence behaviours at all levels
  • Proven experience managing contractors and supporting site-based operations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Diploma in Occupational/Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
  • White Card & Advanced First Aid certification
  • Desirable: Experience with tier-one resources projects, Lead Auditor or ICAM Lead Investigator qualifications
