This is a permanent, full-time role within Transport Operations & Logistics, where you will be responsible for ensuring locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure are maintained to the required standard of safety and reliability.
About the Job:- Conduct routine and corrective maintenance and fault repair in accordance with prescribed methods and best practices.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, legislative policies, and technical and operational specifications.
- Maintain records and documentation related to asset condition, maintenance programs, and costs.
- Report actual work performed against the scheduled work program.
- Implement and improve work procedures and practices to ensure quality enhancement.
- An electrical license is mandatory.
- Experience with locomotives and wagon operation is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
- Previous experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock is highly regarded.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings are essential.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and instructions, including the Workplace Health and Safety Act, is required.
