Job Title: Locomotive Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Locomotive Operations Specialist to operate locomotives on mainline, shunting, and marshalling duties.

About the Role
  • This role involves working in accordance with safety and operational standards and procedures.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for examining and certifying trains as ready for departure.
  • Maintaining a high level of on-time running is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate locomotives safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct brake testing on locomotives and prepare them for service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to meet business objectives.
Requirements
  • A Certificate IV in Rail Operations is required for this role.
  • Possess a current unrestricted Class C drivers licence.
  • Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience is essential.
  • Be available to work a 24/7 shift roster.
