Behaviour Support Practitioner Role
This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
About The Job- Work collaboratively with participants, their families, and service providers to create a supportive environment that promotes independence and control
- Provide expert guidance on evidence-based approaches to reduce the impact of challenging behaviour
- Ensure support plans align with NDIS participant's needs
- Conduct behavioural assessments to identify effective intervention strategies
- Develop and implement tailored support plans in consultation with individuals and families
- Maintain accurate and detailed records in line with NDIS standards
- Relevant degree qualification (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or similar field
- Experience or knowledge of contemporary practices and trends in disability support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with participants, families, and colleagues
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to offsite meetings and client visits
- Knowledge of restrictive practices and positive behaviour support principles
- Strong organisational and IT skills to manage time effectively and maintain accurate records
