Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician to join our Service Team at Komatsu Australia Pty. As a Senior Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the day-to-day operational activities of the Service Team are achieved to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the day-to-day operational activities of the Service Team are achieved to a high standard through focusing on safety, quality assurance checks and documentation, workflow processes and procedures, contamination control, cost control, technician utilization, employee management, continuous improvement, and daily job reporting and updates.
  • Supervise and assist in creating a positive team atmosphere, ensuring that duties are conducted in terms of the core values of Komatsu.
  • Implement OH&S practices in the workplace and ensure that all team members are aware of and adhere to these practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Lead work groups and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard, on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Service Team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the Service Team is aligned with the overall goals and objectives of Komatsu Australia Pty.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualifications (Electrical Fitter, Auto Electrician, or Diesel Mechanic).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral to effectively communicate with customers and personnel at all levels.
  • Leadership skills and experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Good technical experience on Komatsu product range.
  • Good understanding of Komatsu systems and process.
  • Proven ability to implement OH&S practices in the workplace.
  • Customer service orientated.
