Job Opportunity: Senior Associate - Major Projects

Ashurst, a leading global law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our dynamic Projects & Energy Transition group in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in advising clients on major projects across various sectors, including construction, infrastructure, resources, transport, and energy.

  • Lead on a range of matters related to procurement and delivery of major projects, working closely with Partners and other senior professionals.
  • Provide commercial and practical legal advice to support client relationships and business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervise junior lawyers, and contribute to a positive and high-performing team culture.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • 6 years or more post-admission experience in a projects, infrastructure, or construction practice area within a reputable firm.
  • A proactive approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building strong client relationships.
  • A commercial mindset with effective negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing leadership and mentoring to junior colleagues.
