About The Role

This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a kitchen, managing a team of professionals to ensure consistent delivery of high-standard meals while maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and cleaning standards.

You will play a key role in driving workplace culture, safety, and service excellence while supporting strategic and operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate food service operations to meet dietary and nutritional needs.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to foster a positive and productive team culture.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety legislation, cleaning standards, and infection control guidelines.
  • Manage stock, equipment maintenance, and budgetary requirements.
  • Oversee menu planning, catering requests, and meal quality assurance.
  • Respond to feedback and complaints with professionalism.
  • Conduct audits and maintain accurate records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade Certificate of Proficiency in Cooking and Food Safety Supervisor (Health).
  • Proven leadership experience in managing performance and workplace change.
  • Extensive experience in hospitality or healthcare catering.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (ISO 22000, HACCP), OH&S, and infection control.
  • Understanding of texture-modified diets (IDDSI) and dietary restrictions/allergens.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor food preparation processes.
