Job Role: Sterilisation Technician

To excel in this position, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care. Key tasks include:

  • Reprocessing and sterilising surgical instruments to ensure hospital areas are safe.
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance with relevant healthcare standards.
  • Ensuring best practices for infection control are adhered to.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 12 months of current experience in sterilisation techniques is required.
  • Certification in Australian Standard 4187 - 2014 is essential.
  • Knowledge of decontamination and disinfection processes is necessary.
  • Demonstrated instrumentation skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Membership of a professional association related to sterilisation would be beneficial.
  • Experience working with loan kits is an advantage.
