Job Role Overview
The Assistant in Nursing plays a crucial role in supporting the theatre and CSSD team to provide a safe and efficient sterilising service.
This position requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and adhering to clinical standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the theatre and CSSD team in ensuring a safe and efficient sterilising service
- Contribute to hospital quality management systems to drive continuous improvement
- Integrate seamlessly into the team, providing an exceptional level of care
Essential Requirements:
- Hold or be enrolled in a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (mandatory)
- Relevant experience and knowledge in undertaking Sterile Services functions at an operational level within a Hospital or other large organisations
- Ideal 3-5 years experience within an AIN role/CSSD role
- Understanding of Mater Mission, Values, and their practical relevance to Sterile Services issues
- Effective communication skills with staff, customers, and service partners, and ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in Risk Management and Continuous Quality Improvement Systems, and commitment to Best Practice
- Experience in Workplace Health and Safety issues in Sterile Services
- Loan set processing experience highly advantageous
