Financial Controls Director in Defence Sector

Hudson Executive partners with a leading defence company to recruit a Financial Controls Lead.

About the Role

This pivotal position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing sector while contributing to a robust financial control environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire teams across various business areas to deliver financial assurance programs.
  • Oversee the Financial Control Framework Audit program, including risk assessment and annual audit planning.
  • Foster collaboration with finance and non-finance teams to promote a strong control environment.
  • Identify and address control deficiencies with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate fraud risk management and business continuity planning, including annual testing.
  • Serve as a key interface with internal and external auditors.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant degree and CA/CPA qualification.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, integrity, and self-motivation.
  • Extensive experience in audits and assurance engagements, including external financial audits, internal controls assessments, and risk management.
