Supportive Care Professional

Clinical Care Requirements

  • Pressure area and wound management
  • Bowel and catheter management
  • Medication and behavioral management
  • Manual handling, including hoist machine use
  • Tracheostomy and invasive mechanical ventilation management

Key Responsibilities

  • Airway assistance and management
  • Continuous clinical assessment of clients
  • Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Experience with non-cuffed tracheostomy care and management
  • Personal care, including skin integrity management and pressure area care
  • Supporting clients with activities at home and out in the community

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Exposure to patients with spinal cord injuries, catheters, ventilators, tracheostomies, and respiratory-related matters
  • CPR certificate within 12 months
  • First aid certificate
  • NDIS worker screener check
