Cloud and Infrastructure Leader

About This Role

This position is responsible for managing multiple technology platforms, including Azure Infrastructure, data centre operations and virtual desktop environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and exceptional leadership skills.

  • Provision, maintain and manage multiple technology platforms, including Azure Infrastructure, data centre operations and virtual desktop environments.
  • Lead operational support for seamless service delivery across internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate with Solution and Enterprise Architecture teams to develop technology solutions and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure system resilience and business continuity.
  • Manage vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contracts, performance metrics and risk management practices.
  • Lead and mentor the Cloud and Infrastructure team, fostering a high-performance culture that drives productivity and innovation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess at least 8-10 years of experience in cloud and infrastructure roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position guiding teams in large enterprise environments.

  • Deep knowledge of Azure cloud implementations, Microsoft platforms, virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V) and operating systems like Windows, Linux and Unix.
  • Ability to develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives, with a proven ability to implement cloud FinOps strategies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience navigating complex, mission-critical environments, ensuring high availability and operational stability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Extensive experience managing vendor relationships, ensuring that all contracts and service agreements meet performance and risk management criteria.
