Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum

This salary range is based on industry standards, location, and job requirements.

**Job Description**

The Head of Contract Management is a newly created role responsible for overseeing and managing all property lease, licence, and service agreements across SSCT precincts and venues. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring SSCT's contractual obligations and entitlements are understood, effectively managed, and met.

You will work closely with the General Manager Commercial, the Senior Leadership team, and other key stakeholders to lead commercial negotiations with lessees, licensees, and major suppliers. Your primary responsibilities will include oversight and management of lease, licence, service, and other agreements across SSCT venues, leading commercial negotiations, providing expert commercial and legal advice, maintaining structured record-keeping, and planning for agreement renewal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of lease, licence, service, and other agreements across SSCT venues
  • Leading commercial negotiations for new agreements, ensuring SSCT's obligations and entitlements are well understood and actively managed
  • Providing expert commercial and legal advice on contracting and procurement matters
  • Maintaining structured record-keeping and managing a comprehensive register of all agreements within a single document management system
  • Effectively planning for agreement renewal processes, including market reviews, benchmarking, and procurement evaluations
  • Oversseeing contract disputes and conflict resolution when required
  • Regularly reviewing service standards and ensuring contractor performance meets service level agreements

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience managing contracts in both commercial and public sector contexts
  • Proven ability in drafting agreements, conducting negotiations, and ensuring statutory compliance
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to hold lessees, licensees, and suppliers accountable for deliverables
  • Experience in procurement and tendering processes, ensuring compliance with Victorian Government procurement requirements
  • Expertise in contract law, interpreting agreement terms, and resolving disputes between parties
  • Ability to evaluate contract performance, develop organizational policies, and identify strategic improvements
