Job Overview:

The Field Training Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring our restaurants consistently deliver outstanding results by providing world-class training and development programs. Reporting directly to the Operations team, this key position is responsible for driving operational excellence across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Development: Foster a high-performing team of Business Managers and Mad Team Leads who embody our brand values and provide exceptional customer service. Develop and maintain a nationwide network of certified training restaurants, facilitating seamless new restaurant openings and employee training.
  • Operational Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and best practices, identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with the Operations team to drive positive change. Conduct regular assessments of national performance, documenting issues and developing targeted training plans to address underperformance.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Develop and implement training programs that align with organizational goals, working closely with the Learning and Development Manager to create engaging classes and training sessions. Identify opportunities for process improvements and test new products, providing valuable feedback for enhancements.
  • New Restaurant Openings: Oversee the successful launch of new restaurants, managing travel, budgeting, and resource allocation while ensuring a smooth transition for the restaurant team and franchisee. Assign a skilled Mad Team and Mad Team Lead prior to each opening, facilitating comprehensive training and independent operation.

Requirements:

  • Recent frontline experience in QSR, Fast Casual, or Restaurants (within the last 3 years)
  • 8+ years of total experience in QSR, Fast Casual, or Restaurants
  • A proven track record of strong people management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at an operational hands-on level and translate this into improving restaurant performance
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated high-level skills in dealing confidently and courteously with key stakeholders (both internally and externally)
  • A current driver's license and car

Salary and Benefits:

This exciting opportunity comes with an estimated salary of $120,000 per annum, plus benefits including a company laptop, mobile phone reimbursement, complimentary meals when working in the office, bonus program eligibility, and access to ongoing training and development programs. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work from home, attend quarterly national business meetings, and participate in our annual off-site conference.

About the Role:

This full-time position requires intrastate and interstate travel, with occasional weekend work and 'pm shifts.' Based at Burrito Headquarters in Sydney, this role offers an ideal blend of field-based work and office time.
