Strategic Sales Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Strategic Sales Professional to join our team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort.

In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying new opportunities, driving revenue growth, and positioning the resort as a premier destination for golf and sporting group experiences.

  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to grow the Golf & Sporting Groups segment across markets, with a focus on increasing group bookings and revenue at the resort.
  • Identify, manage, and nurture key accounts within the golf, sports club, school, and leisure travel sectors, fostering long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Drive proactive business development through outbound sales activity, lead generation, tailored proposals, and on-site client engagement.
  • Work closely with resort operations, events, and revenue teams to optimise group occupancy, maximise yield, and ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Represent the resort at golf tournaments, industry trade shows, and networking events to build brand visibility and convert high-value leads.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, track pipeline activity, and report on sales performance metrics including conversion rates and revenue targets.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and client meetings to strengthen relationships and ensure alignment with client expectations and service delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with event partners and vendors to support logistics, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the successful execution of group stays and sporting events.
  • Partner with Marketing and relevant Tourism and Sporting Organisations to create co-branded campaigns and destination marketing initiatives that drive group demand.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the tourism industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
  • A proven track record of driving sales growth and expanding business opportunities, with measurable results in revenue and client acquisition.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and advanced time management skills, ensuring precision and efficiency in all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyse solutions, and implement effective resolutions.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a larger team, contributing to and aligning with collective business goals and strategies.
  • A polished professional presentation and a strong work ethic, reflecting a high level of dedication and integrity in all professional interactions.
