About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Manager to join our team at Target. As a key member of our Planning team, you will play a critical role in driving sales and profitability through effective management of our department range architecture and product assortment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Planning team to develop strategies and processes to drive sales and profitability
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish the appropriate balance of fashion, basics, and quality to drive transactions
  • Manage inventory and demand planning to optimize inventory flow methods and channels
  • Develop pre-season strategy and accurate financial plans
  • Develop customer-focused product and store assortments, line plans, and inventory flow
  • Manage markdown plans and OTB controls
  • Lead the Planning Team to ensure critical path and launch dates are being met
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of planning experience in a specialty retail environment, with a tertiary qualification in Finance, Operations, or Business. They will also have good working experience in leading a small to medium-sized team and be able to plan, implement, and lead a merchandise strategy.
