About this role
You will lead a range of assignments as Regional Lead for Hydropower projects, supporting on other related renewable energy and storage projects where required. Your role will involve leading, directing, and scoping projects, shaping the Hydropower business and mentoring staff on utility scale renewable energy projects linked to hydropower and dams projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the growth of the Hydropower business in Australasia, assisting regional teams.
- Take regional responsibility for the current and future overall performance of the Hydropower business.
- Develop and implement longer term plans in line with the Arup business strategy and Energy strategy.
- Work with Business Leaders to build client relationships, secure pipeline and negotiate major contracts.
- Support the development, design and management of large, complex, long term projects.
Requirements
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or similar area.
- Relevant industry experience in hydropower generation projects within a consulting business environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading large scale energy projects and teams.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines and related procedures including OH&S.
