Financial Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to drive financial management practices across our multi-cloud landscape.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial management functions, including billing/invoice management, cost chargeback/showback, forecasting/utilisation tracking, cost optimisation, and operation/delivery financial metrics & reporting.
  • Lead the adoption and maturity of financial/cost management (FinOps) practices into day-to-day operations, supporting cost reduction/optimisation and FinOps ceremonies.
  • Owning initiatives and projects, demonstrating leadership skills.
  • Identifying and resolving blockers in realising value from cloud platforms and developing relevant solutions.
  • Tracking and managing operational & project costs across the group and supporting Financial Year budget planning for cloud platforms.
  • Engaging in technical conversations with other tech teams, challenging decisions and influencing prioritisation of cost optimisation and FinOps initiatives.
About You
  • You will require 3+ years of demonstrated public cloud knowledge and experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with public cloud financial components/concepts (cost & usage reports, reserved instances, savings plans, committed use discounts, enterprise discount programs, spot pricing, etc.) is essential.
  • You should have experience establishing and/or operating cost optimisation initiatives across complex Platform & Cloud environments.
  • Establishing cloud chargeback/showback for business units or projects is desirable.
  • You will need to interrogate billing & usage data to create cost insights and reports/dashboards across Cloud, License, Partner & Operational budgets.
  • Strong data/financial analysis and reporting skills are required.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills at a senior executive level with a can-do attitude are necessary.
