GRIT is searching for a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimise Microsoft Azure environments that support business-critical initiatives. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions, using Azure-native services, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation for reliable, high-quality deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver secure, scalable Azure cloud architectures.
- Provision and manage Azure resources (compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring).
- Build and maintain IaC templates (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
- Automate operations with PowerShell, Python, and Azure Automation.
- Apply Azure security, IAM, and compliance standards.
- Optimise cloud performance and costs, and provide L3 Azure support.
- Partner with teams to ensure infrastructure meets application needs.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Strong expertise across Microsoft Azure services and monitoring tools.
- Hands-on with IaC and Azure DevOps automation.
- Knowledge of RBAC, identity, and network security controls.
- Exposure to AKS, containers, and API management desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure certifications highly regarded (e.g., Solutions Architect Expert, Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert).
- Additional certifications in cloud security, IaC, or DevOps are desirable.
- Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
