Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled FinOps Analyst to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing cloud spend, managing SaaS platform costs, and ensuring effective cost allocation across the business in partnership with our finance team.

About The Role

This pivotal role requires strong analytical skills, experience with data visualization tools, and proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

The ideal candidate will have a background in Tier 2 Service Provider and experience in a FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or SaaS Optimization role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocate for an automation-first mindset in Technology and operations teams.
  • Create and maintain a future state through a roadmap, projects, and advocate for resources to deliver efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a conduit between Group Technology, FinOps Practice, Product Solutions Group, Finance department and Datacom LOBs
  • Monitor and analyse cloud spend across platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Optimize SaaS platform usage and licensing to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Track and forecast usage of AI-related services, including token-based consumption models.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into cloud and SaaS expenditures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to allocate costs accurately and identify savings opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain FinOps best practices to support budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback models.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on cost-saving initiatives and usage trends.
  • Support vendor management and contract negotiations for SaaS and cloud services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A background within Tier 2 Service Provider.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cost management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML services and token-based usage models is a plus.
  • Experience in a FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or SaaS Optimization role.
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to connect technical and financial information in meaningful ways.
